1 March, sunny
A new page rarely begins at the moment you feel ready.
I meant to read today. I sat down at the desk, turned seven pages, and drifted off three times. Once I would have called that “not being in the right state”. Today I took it differently: seven pages still count.
Ritual is the excuse we look for before starting; real beginnings are plainer than that — open the book, put your shoes on, open the file. You don’t need a lucky hour, and you don’t need your mood to arrive first.
Do the thing once today. If it goes badly, do it again tomorrow. Starting never needs a ceremony — it only needs today.
March, one step forward.
